All staff, students and visitors.
You will be receiving a thin, personal access device. It will have access to the local network and internet. They can be used remotely via satallite uplink.
It can be used for personal diary entries, public entries, email, writing, studying, making your shopping list, receiving and giving orders, etc. It will have limited storage - you will each have a terabyte of data to store things on the school server.
They come in black, red, blue, and white.
The device is about 8x6 inches, flat screen, touch screen, with a projection keyboard, and a stylus capable of being used as though you're writing on a piece of paper. It's as powerful as most laptops, and possesses much of the functionality of a computer. It runs on a custom version of unix (thank you, Kitty). It can work with wireless keyboards as well for when you're at home.
Kitty will be producing an application shortly so you can use your normal phone, computer or pda on the system. She will have to secure your device first.
(ooc = Make sure all your journals are in the flister and have updated f-lists!)
